Small jacquard patterns require a particular technique. Impossible to change balls at each change of color as there are so many. Working with two balls is much easier. But it would help if you were not satisfied with letting the thread run at the back of the work: it is not pretty, and your jacquard may have holes. By using the intarsia technique, we get a perfect job.
The technique consists of crossing the threads at each stitch so no hanging thread and no ugly hole, and because pictures are better than words, I share with you this video which explains the technique very well:
Be careful; this technique only works well with two colors maximum! If you multiply the colors and therefore the threads, your knitting will become stiff and thick.
